![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A bullet travels at 2500 ft per second and is usually presented in a hailstorm against the target. Deflecting bullets - this one is most ridiculous. Also proximity to magical areas isn't a problem if the stealth bomber fires the missile from above orbit and detonates it as an airburst. Muggle tech "going haywire" near magical hotspots - Nuclear weapons can be entirely mechanical and not electric at all but set on a timer.Wizards don't have the communication to set it up, it would take weeks to plan, and by then the muggles would have discovered the wizarding headquarters and killed them all. Even if the wizards located and attacked a military base it's not as simple as turning up and blowing things up.Their numbers are limited and small numbers means small results. The ONLY way the wizards can win is by deception and I don't see that happening. If a Muggle were captured and tortured he would know almost nothing of secret plans. The wizard community is so small almost everyone knows locations, plans, whereabouts and can give these up under torture. The fidelius charm has its limits and these magic locations are physical places.Even if the powerful wizards were alive (Dumbledore and Voldemort) they couldn't defeat the whole Muggle world. Without being united they have no chance and their tiny numbers are split into even smaller numbers. Wizard disorientation - Nobody knows what's going on, there's no reliable form of communication, people are isolated and split because they refuse to believe what's happening. All it takes is for one wizard to be captured and give up the location and then it can be nuked. Hogwarts is a real place and is physical and it cannot move.A disillusionment charm might fool ground troops but not heat seeking missiles or machine gun aimbot AI.Nukes can also be fired from ground artillery or even fighter jets such as the 'Dassault Rafale' and the Stealth bomber. Some of these warheads vaporise an area the size of New York and put deadly radiation in an area the size of the entire south of England. There are thousands of these lurking around the world miles under the sea. Nukes - Balistic missile submarines (impossible for wizards to detect or attack) can fire nuclear missiles up into space and down again to destroy any location they choose.Wizards cannot hope to destroy just the USA let alone the combined planet, of China and UK, India ect. The troops of just the USA is over 1,400,000 active personnel and 1,100,000 reserve personnel. Muggle population exceeds that of the wizard population by 1000 to one.Probably won't be needed as muggle troops will be using unmanned transport and weapons which cannot be obliviated (: Biohazard suits can be donned on ground troops if the wizards decide to use the obliviate rain that was used in Fantastic Beasts. This knowledge can be logged in data bases and shared instantly around the world. Defectors - inevitably some wizards will defect to the muggles and divulge all the information they know.Pathetic lax of security - as proved by the movies and books, the security and defences are hopeless and easily breached. The muggles have spent thousands of years specialising and perfecting global war tactics and have disciplined troops that follow orders, and have brilliant commanders that think and move flexibly. An actual military - the wizards rely on a small number of Auoras, who are essentially just cops.A Protego charm would also do little to stop a silent acidic atmosphere bomb that turns the moisture in your lungs to acid and kills you without warning in seconds. Wizards would be utterly smashed by muggle genetic technology. Once muggles have been vaccinated from it the attack can begin by activating the trigger. Bioweapons and chemical weapons - little known to the public the British and Americans have prepared Von-Neumann style pathogens that release deadly toxins once a trigger hormone is released. ![]() This is largely due to their belief that they are superior genetically to muggles. Spies and information would provide little to no use seeing as they have no idea what military codes or strategy means. Centuries of Wizard Ignorance and snobbery - Wizards have no idea what muggles are capable of, the specialist for muggle affairs was confounded by a simple old car. ![]()
